CHAMPION PHOTOCHEMISTRY SDN. BHD. – MALAYSIA OVERVIEW

Champion Photochemistry started in 1978 in Canada. In 1982 a business acquisition in the USA established a true North American production platform, followed by a further purchase in 1987 in the United Kingdom establishing production platforms in both North America and Europe.

The worldwide positioning was extended to Asia in 1991 by the creation of Champion Photochemistry Sdn Bhd (CPM) a sales and manufacturing operation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia operating successfully in the four segments of the Imaging Industry, Photographic, Printing and Publishing, X-ray Imaging and Digital Ink printing on a global basis.

During the late 1990’s into the 2000’s, Champion acquired more companies and produced for many major international companies including Agfa-Gevaert N.V., E.I.du Pont de Nemours, Eastman Kodak, Ilford Photo and Konica Minolta.

– Signed Toll manufacturing with Konica Corporation, Tokyo Consumer Products division.
1992

– Upgraded factory manufacturing capacity by 300%
– Concluded supply agreement with the world’s largest non-captive photochemical purchaser.

1994

1995

– Champion Photochemistry Trading (Shanghai) Co. Ltd (CPC) established in Shanghai, China as subsidiary of Champion Photochemistry Malaysia.

– Integrated Droqsacolor Chemicals S.L (Spain) manufacturing for Asia.
2006

– Launched NatureCare FRC Universal Print Replacement Cartridge and Naturecare EZC Print replacement Cartridge products for all print cartridge processors.
– Launched NatureCare Color Print LR System (NC CPLR) products for Super Print processors.
2007

– Signed Supply and Purchase agreement with Carestream Health USA to manufacture and supply kodak brand medical x-ray processing chemicals.
2008

– Consolidated Champion brand European manufacturing and distribution to Malaysia.
– Distribute to 73 Authorized Distributors in 29 countries.
2010

– Opened Research and Development department in Malaysia
– Signed Supply and Purchase agreement with PlazaCreate Co. Ltd. Japan to manufacture and supply private label color photochemicals for distribution in Japan.
2011

– Launched ink jet inks for commercial ink jet printers.
2014

– Signed Supply and Purchase agreement with Eastman Park Micrographics Inc. USA and commenced toll manufacturing.
– Consolidated Champion brand North and South America manufacturing and distribution in Malaysia.
– Distribute to 46 countries.
2018

– Acquired CPAC Asia Limited, Thailand and commenced manufacturing and distribution of CPAC brand.
– Distribute to 79 Authorized Distributors.
2019

– Signed Supply and Purchase agreement with Cyber Graphics Japan and commenced manufacturing of Oriental brand.
